DDP's InkWave SP Ink was specifically developed to satisfy the requirements for imaging color separations for screens. Every successful screen that is imaged using inkjet starts with high quality film positive ink on film.
How Does the Ink Work?
UV lamps used by screen printers emit ultraviolet light, which triggers a photochemical reaction in the emulsion. DDP ink actually absorbs 99.9% of all UV light which protects the unexposed emulsion. In the areas exposed to UV light the emulsion is hardened due to cross linking from the UV light. After exposure, the screen is washed with water. The unexposed emulsion, which remains water-soluble, is washed away, leaving behind the hardened image of the design. The high quality screen is ready for use.
